1st Vice President

David Oladimeji Mako (Sese Makosa) was born on 24th November 1959 to a Mountaineer Father.

He attended St Saviours African Church school, Ekotedo, Ibadan for his primary school education and in September 1973 gained admission to the famous Ibadan Grammar School, Molete. A member of Olubadan house with school number is 7450. He finished in a 1978.

He later joined Standard Bank later renamed First Bank , Bank Road Branch, before proceeding to Olivet Baptist High school, Oyo for his A’levels In 1979 and finished in 1981.

After his A’levels he gained admission to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan and graduated, B.Sc Honors in Sociology in 1984. He got deployed to Oyo State college of Education, Lanlate Campus in 1984 for His National Youth Service and this ended in 1985.

He joined the services of Lagos State Schools’ Management Board in September 1985 and taught for about three years at Ajara Grammar School, Ajara Badagry. In 1987, He enrolled for a Masters degree program in Industrial and Labour Relations at the University of Ibadan, and graduated in 1988. In 1989 He was employed by NEM Insurance Ltd as it was then , left in 1990 for NAL Merchant Bank and worked in the Human Resources Management Department.

In 1993, He was invited to join the then Union Trust Building Society Limited, as Head of Human Resources and Administration and resigned in 1998 as the General Manager, Operations. Since 1998 he has ran his own business and area of interest are in Hospitality; Agriculture; Haulage ; Logistics and Supplies. He also within this period sojourned in the United Kingdom.

IGSOSA Activities

He has served the Association without break for over 25 years from positions like Assistant Secretary ; social Secretary, Financial Secretary; Treasurer; 1st Vice Chairman in Lagos Branch . He also held the position of the Chairman of Lagos Branch between in 2013 to 2017.

At National Level he has served as Assistant Auditor, Ex Officio member. In 1994 Dimeji Mako became the National General Secretary of the Association when Prince Adegoke Ademiluyi was the National President. He has been privileged to attend at least two reunion events in Newark, New Jersey and Arlington, Virginia .

A totally committed Mountaineer who likes given back to the school that made him in line with the school motto ; For God and our Fatherland.
